Getting Spotify Premium for a dollar is a great way to save money while still getting the service you want. You can get a free trial or subscribe to the free tier, or even pay for a couple or student plan. Regardless of which tier you choose, there are some tips and tricks you can follow to get the most out of your subscription.
Free tier
Whether you’re listening on your phone, tablet, or PC, Spotify gives you on-demand access to hundreds of songs every day. You can listen to playlists, radio stations, or create your own. All you need is an internet connection. And now, with a new, free tier, you’ll even have more control over the music you hear.
Spotify’s new, free tier includes 40 hours of music. It also includes 15 personalized Discovery playlists. The app uses machine learning to help you find the right song.
But, before you sign up, you’ll have to enter your email address, billing zip code, and password. You can then choose a subscription level, ranging from Free to Premium. And, of course, you’ll have to enter your gender and date of birth.
You can also download songs to your device for offline listening. And, if you want more features, such as ad-free listening, Premium is the way to go. You’ll be able to enjoy more than 82 million ad-free tracks.
But, if you’re not ready to commit to Premium yet, you can still try it out for three months for free. If you’re not satisfied, you can cancel before it renews. This is the best way to discover whether you like the service or not.
You can also customize your experience by selecting the genres and artists you prefer. You can create collaborative playlists with friends. And, you can even post your favorite songs on social media. If you’re on a mobile device, you can change tracks and adjust volume.
If you have a PC or Smart TV, you can listen to the free tier on your computer. And, if you’re on a smartphone, you can listen to the free tier while driving.
Student’s plan
Streaming music provider Spotify has introduced a special Premium for a dollar student’s plan. It’s available to students who are 18 or older and enrolled in an accredited Title IV college or university. It offers the same features as the individual Premium subscription, but with no difference in price.
The student’s plan also comes with a free month of the Premium service and a bundle of Hulu, which normally costs $8 a month. Its ad-supported version is only $4.99 a month, but its ad-free tier is $11 a month.
The student’s plan also includes Showtime, which is a part of the Spotify Premium for Students package. The SHOWTIME plan normally costs $11 a month.
While the student’s plan doesn’t have as many benefits as the individual Premium plan, it does come with a couple of unique advantages. One of them is the ability to save your favorite tracks for listening later. Another is the ability to play your playlists in offline mode.
The student’s plan is only available for a limited time. The first three months are free, but you’ll need to continue paying for the Premium plan after that. You can renew your student’s plan for an additional four years, but the perks will be lost after that.
While the Student’s plan isn’t the only way to get a discount from Spotify, it’s a good option for those looking to cut their expenses. It’s also a good idea to weigh up what is important to you before making the switch.
The Student’s plan is only offered to students at accredited Title IV colleges or universities in the US. Those who don’t qualify aren’t eligible to get the discount.
Couples’ plan
Streaming music service Spotify has introduced a new Premium plan aimed at couples. The two-account plan costs only a few dollars more than the individual Premium plan. Currently, it’s only available in five markets: the US, UK, Ireland, Colombia, and Poland. It also comes with exclusive access to a special Duo Mix playlist and ad-free on-demand listening.
The Family plan, which supports up to six users, works out to $8 per person, compared to the Duo plan’s $6.50 price. It’s the cheapest option for getting Premium from Spotify. However, it’s not ideal for sharing with people outside of the home.
It’s a good option for roommates or siblings, but it’s not ideal for families with children. You can only share your plan with people who live at your address.
If you want to test out a different plan, you can do so with a free one-month trial. You can invite friends to join your plan via email or WhatsApp.
Spotify has also announced that it’s expanding its Premium Duo feature to additional markets. It’s been in testing since March. It’s currently available in 55 countries around the world.
When signing up for the Spotify Premium plan, you’ll be asked to verify your residential address. You’ll also need to provide payment information. This is to prevent abuse or misuse. Once you’ve completed the sign up process, you’ll be able to view your account’s billing details. You’ll be able to cancel the plan and re-verify your address if you’re not satisfied with the service.
You can upgrade to the Premium Duo plan at any time. Upgrading won’t erase your account’s preferences or listening history. But it will save you $3 per month compared to the cost of the Individual Premium plan.
Avoid downloading third-party software on your devices
Using a third-party app to download songs on your Spotify account is no longer the sexiest way to listen to music. You could be putting yourself at risk for identity theft and device crashes. A better option is to convert your downloaded Spotify tracks to MP3 files and play them back on your favorite music player.
The good news is that there are some cool things you can do with your newfound Premium membership. For example, you can listen to your favorite songs offline, save your favorite tracks for later, and even blend two songs together. Plus, you don’t have to deal with ad interruptions. You can also take advantage of free upgrades to your Premium account.
The best part is that you can use these features on multiple devices. You can also get access to over 700,000 podcasts and stream music to Google Cast devices. You can also use these features to discover and listen to music you never knew existed.
Aside from the obvious benefits, there are many other things you can do with a Premium subscription. For example, you can stream your favorite songs on the go with your phone or tablet, or enjoy ad-free access to the Hulu network. You can even get a discount on a Spotify Family plan if you have a family. And if you want to enjoy all of the benefits of a Premium account, but aren’t sure if you’ll be able to keep up with the monthly costs, you can sign up for a Student plan.
Luckily, Spotify offers a one month free trial, which allows you to test the waters. You can then decide whether you want to continue paying for a Premium account or stick with the Free tier.
Cancel your subscription
Whether you are looking to cancel your Spotify Premium subscription for a dollar, or you simply want to stop using the service, you may be unsure about how to do so. Thankfully, there are several ways to do so.
To cancel your Spotify Premium, you will need to first log into your account. This can be done either on your desktop or mobile device. When you log into your account, you will be taken to a page that contains a form that you can fill out. This will allow you to choose your payment method, read the terms of service, and confirm your cancellation.
After you have filled out the form, you will be taken to a receipt page. You will then need to confirm your cancellation by clicking the “Cancel Subscription” button. If you click the “Cancel Subscription” button, your account will be switched to the free plan and you will no longer have access to Spotify Premium features. You will still be able to listen to music and playlists saved to your account. However, you will no longer be able to log in with ads, play with group listening, or listen to songs offline.
If you are an iPhone user, you can also cancel your Spotify Premium subscription by going to Settings. Once you are there, you will need to tap on the “Payment” tab. If you are not sure how to do this, Spotify’s customer service can help you out.
If you are a family member, you can also get rid of your Premium subscription. This will not affect the accounts of other members. You will be sent an email notification. You can then follow the instructions in the email.
